Wow! God Makes Us Unique

I am sitting here listening to Brianna go on and on about DNA and amino acids and how amazing they are. Now, I'm not exaggerating when I say she is sooo exciting about them!

Frankly, I just don't get it! I try to stay tuned into what she is talking about and I just can't! She goes on about how the chance of putting the amino acids together in their simplest form is so highly unlikely and they.......(she lost me)...

What I think about is how God made us so unique. I honestly never thought people would get excited about something like that. I knew we had people work that field, but I figured it was for the money or something like that. I guess people really get excited about it!

I look at each of my girls and their amazing personalities. They share many characteristics, they love to snuggle, they like history, they can't contain it when they get excited, they each talk at warp speed when they are excited and they each have a dimple. All four had speech issues when they were young. But there are some many things that are totally unique!

Bri's hobby is learning, she has one shoulder shorter than the other and she holds the prize from crazy symptoms and illnesses! Tori needs her alone time. She needs time to process things. She is extremely flexible, her hair has beautiful red highlights in it and she enjoys being outdoors. Emi, well she is in a category all her own. She has a smile that pulls people in. She has the energy of the energizer bunny, she is a math whiz and has an outstanding singing voice. I am still getting to know who Kalli is! She is very strong willed (which she is in the process of learning how to use that for the good), and she fiddles with her hair. In fact, she fiddles with it so much that over the past few months as her hair has changed from bone straight to curly, on the side that she fiddles with, it is still straight! She loves to hug and loves to see people smile.

It makes me think how many times in my life I have expected people to have the same reaction to a situation as I have. How wrong that is! How I fail to take into account that God has created us each to be a totally unique person! How many people have I turned away from in my failure to realize this? Lord, help me to appreciate the variety that you have blessed us with!
